North East Tour 14

Day 1 : NJP Rly Stn / IXB Airport – Gangtok (About 125 kms / 4 hrs)

Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP station / IXB airport & transfer to Gangtok – “The Capital City of Sikkim”. On arrival check-in to your hotel rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.

Day 2 : Gangtok (Trip to Tsomgo Lake + Baba Mandir)

Start for a half day excursion trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 ft) 52 kms from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter and is much revered by the locals. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.

Day 3 : Gangtok (sight seeing)

Start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi View, Ganesh Tok, Hanumak Tok, Rumtek Monastery, Do-Drul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Banjhakri falls and Flower Show. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.

Day 4 : Gangtok-Pelling (About 132 Kms / 5 hrs)

This morning drive to Pelling (6800 ft.) on the way visit Ravangla. One can enjoy the spectacular Eastern Himalayan Range from Pelling. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Pelling.

Day 05: Pelling sight seeing

After breakfast start for local sight seeing tour covering Rimbi Falls, Khangchendzonga water falls, Khachoedpalri Wish Lake, Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, Rabdantse View Point, Helipad Ground. Overnight stay will be at Pelling.

Day 06: Pelling - Darjeeling (About 118 Kms /4 hrs).

This morning drive to Darjeeling (7,100 ft.) is one of the most magnificent Hill Resorts in the World. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.

Day 07: Darjeeling (sight seeing)

Early Morning (at 4.00 am) drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular Sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Ava Art Gallery and Japanese Temple. Evening free(walking tour of mall – suggested). Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.

Day 08: Darjeeling – NJP Rly. Stn./IXB airport (About 90 kms / 3 hrs)

Morning free for packing & personal activities. Check out from hotel in time and take the departure transfer to NJP railway station / IXB airport for your onward journey.
