Cost Include:

  • Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Entrance Fees & Guide charges.
  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances, etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
  • Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure.
  • Service Tax.
  • Insurance.
  • Anything which is not include in the inclusion.

Child Policy:

  • Child Below 5 yrs complimentary
  • Child 3 – 5 yrs chargeable for Lachung & Lachen
  • Child 5 -10 yrs without extra bed as mention in cost column (CNB = Child no Bed)
  • Child 5 -10 yrs with extra bed as mention in cost column (CWB = Child with Bed)
  • Above 10 years / Extra adult with an extra bed sharing room are same & charged as per (EPSR)

NOTE:

Permit require for Tsomgo Lake. It is mandatory that guest should carry 02 copies of pass – port size photograph, original id proof with photo copy (identity card – Voter ID card/Pass-port/Driving License etc) for processing the permit.

Guest Traveling to North Sikkim (lachung & lachen) requires 02 more copies of passport size photograph.

Note:

  • Gangtok local 7 points sight seeing: by Maruti Omni (04 pax are allowed including Child)
  • Tsomgo Lake & Babamandir tour: by Maruti Omni & Tata Sumo / Mahindra Max / Hard top Jeep
  • (These are the vehicles which is allowed in the hill.) North Sikkim package: only Tata Sumo / Mahindra Max are allowed.
  • Pelling sight seeing: only Tata Sumo / Mahindra Max are allowed.

  • Check-in 13:00 hrs. / Check-out time is 11:00 hrs.
  • If arrival of guest is by train at NJP Railway Station, please be informed that our executive will be there to receive the guest at the old exit gate (near enquiry counter) or arrive at Bagdogra Airport our executive will be there with the PLA – CARD at Exit Gate on the Airport.
  • The tourism infrastructure in Sikkim & Darjeeling is not very developed and one should not expect or compare it with the standards of plains & other developed destinations there is always scarcity of water and power in the region and so you would come across situation like water (hot) being supplied on time basis – morning & evening.
  • In north Sikkim & Dooars, hotels available are, with basic amenities.
  • The guest should always keep their cool with the drivers as they are not tourism educated and come from different remote villages.
  • As there is shortage of space for car parking in the entire Sikkim & Darjeeling region – guest will have to wait at the Lobby in time for the vehicle to start their sightseeing / transfers.
  • We would appreciate, if the guest does not lend their ears to the drivers as most of the time they misguide the passengers. In such instances we would request them to contact our executive.
  • On arrival of guests we will provide them with local contact numbers of our executive, who will handle the entire operation.
  • As most of the services are on point to point basis, it is obvious that the drivers would also keep changing. Keeping this in mind please ensure that you do not leave your belongings in the vehicle as there is very little possibility of getting them back.
  • In this sector the same vehicles will not be providing for the whole tour, it will be changed sector- wise. So we request you to inform the same to your guest to avoid any circumstance. Always check your baggage before leave the vehicle.
  • If any tourist spot do not complete which falls on closing day & if they wants to do the same on next day then they have to pay the extra cost for the vehicle.
  • If guests want any changes in their sightseeing schedule they should be informed to our executive previous day of the schedule program before 06:00 pm, after that no changes are allowed. If the guest inform after 05:00 pm it will be consider as a cancellation with no refund or guest will pay extra cost for the re-schedule the sightseeing.
  • Please inform your guest to maintain the timing for the sightseeing / transfers which will advisable by our executive. Mainly in Gangtok vehicle will not allowed to park at the hotel instead of parking stand. Once our vehicle will leave the hotel area without picking up the guests & come back at parking stand then guest must have to arrange their own to reach at the parking stand.
  • Room Heater available with an extra cost Bourne by the guest directly (Except at Premium & Luxury Packages)
  • Due to shortage of power the guest sometimes, may have to bear it with candle light.
  • Category of Rooms in the packages normally remains to deluxe /super deluxe rooms.
  • In Gangtok outside vehicle are not allowed to enter in the city. Only local taxi can roam around within Gangtok city. All outside vehicle will pick up & drop them from Deorali taxi stand. We provide local taxi for pick up & drop from hotel to taxi stand. For this reason guest have to wait some time in the taxi stand.

In Lachung:-

All the packages start from Gangtok & ends at Gangtok. Packages are available with all meals only (for on the way meals Guest has to pay there own).. This area is very picturesque & full with flora & fauna. As this is a backward area…..

  • Hotels available are only with basic amenities & simple food cooked by the locals.
  • There is no geyser in the bathroom – hot water is supplied by buckets by the hotelier.
  • No room heating systems are provided in the room due to shortage of power, instead the hotelier provides Hot water bags.
  • There are no telephone landlines and the guest has to bear with it.
  • Due to shortage of power the guest sometimes, may have to bear it with candle light.

Excursion to Katao & Zero point (Yumesamdong) is kept optional & subject to availability of permit, which the guest can avail with an extra cost payable directly to the driver. In LACHEN we have kept excursion trip to Gurudongmar Lake as optional & subject to availability of permit. In case the permit is available one can opt for the trip with an extra charge @3000 per vehicle on prior intimation.

In Lachen Hotel Accommodation & Food are very basic. There is no geyser in the bathroom – hot water is supplied by buckets by the hotelier. No room heating systems are provided in the room due to shortage of power, instead the hotelier provides Hot water bags.

Note:-

For visiting Tsomgo & North Sikkim, permit is required. It is mandatory that guest should carry 04 COPIES (02 copies for Tsomgo & 02 copies for Lachung) OF PASS – PORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH, ORIGINAL ID PROOF (identity card – Voter ID card/Pass-port/Driving License etc) for processing of permit.

Nathula:-

Nathula visit is subject to permit & road condition. Only limited permits are issued by the army before 48 hrs of tour. It is open only on Wed, Thurs, Fri; Sat & Sun. Supplement charge will be applicable for Nathula. NAME, ADDRESS, AGE & GENDER of all guests traveling are required for processing of permit. Normally organizing permit at the eleventh hour is not possible, minimum time required is 72 hours before the arrival. We will try our best, but in case of non-availability of permit, the tour will only be till Baba Mandir. In one vehicle only 8 persons are allowed. In case the permit is available one can opt for the trip with an extra charge Rs. 5500/- per vehicle It is mandatory that guest should carry photo proof identity card such as voter ID card, passport and passport size photograph

Transfers:-

Transfer from Bagdogra / NJP railway station will be provided from 06:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs. All hill destinations are 3 to 5 hrs drive from station or airport. So, we do not recommend traveling in inadequate day light.

In unavoidable circumstances the guest may have to stay back at Siliguri at an additional cost. If there is any late arrival at NJP railway station, we suggest the guest, considering their security that they should stay back at the station. Our representative will meet and arrange their transfers at 6:00 a.m. Keeping in mind the road condition of any hilly region, the guest should decide upon themselves (with their train and flight timings) as to when they should start the departure transfer. We suggest a buffer time of 2 hours at least.

Essentials:-

Basic personal items to be carried include, feather jacket & heavy woolens during winter and light woolens during summer, walking boots, rain proof jacket during monsoon, torch, spare batteries, water flask, cold cream, personal medicines & Sunglasses. Advice guest to bring heavy woolens if traveling to Lachung/North Sikkim as this area is cold through out the year.

Cancellation Policy:-

  • Cancellation has to be sent to us by Fax /email. Date of booking –
  • Booking day – 30 days – communication charges of Rs 2000.00 per person
  • 30 -15 Days prior to departure 25% of tour cost
  • 14 -07 Days prior to departure 50% of tour cost
  • 07- 03 Days prior to departure 75% of tour cost
  • 02 Days/No show 100% of tour cost

Above are the cancellation rules but we will put our best possible effort to minimize the cancellation charges.

Amendment:-

Amendment of booked tour will be treated as Cancellation. However, minor amendments can be made on the payment of a communication charge, which will vary from case to case.

Refund:-

Refund will be paid to the source through which the guest is booked. Any refund will take at least 15 days to process & will be sent to you by a/c payee cheque only.

* NO REFUND WILL BE MADE AGAINST ANY UN UTILIZED SERVICES, WHAT SO EVER MAY BE THE REASON.

Booking Procedure:-

  • All booking request for the packages has to be sent to us only in writing / e-mail at: MAIL@PLENARYHOLIDAYS.COM ; or fax to our Delhi Office (011-47451110).
  • Please provide the following details along with your booking request:
    • Package Code and Category.
    • Clients Name.
    • Total No of Pax along with adult sharing the rooms and child with/ without bed.
    • Name, age, address, & gender of all guest incase guest is traveling to North Sikkim (lachung)
    • Date of Arrival and Departure.
  • Reference No: As soon as we receive a booking request, a file no.(BC-XX) will be sent to you, please note the same for future correspondence.
  • Re-Confirmation: All bookings should to be reconfirmed with us minimum 07 days prior to the date off arrival along with confirmed arrival details, failure on which will be considered as cancellation.

Payments:-

  • Initial Deposit: Any confirmation is subject to a non-refundable advance deposit of INR 2500 Per Person and has to be paid immediately, after we process the booking.
  • Balance Payment: has to be made in advance and must be paid & settled at the time of reconfirmation (Min 07 days prior to the date of arrival).
  • Payment Mode: Payments can be remitted through any of the following mode and is subject to realization:
    • Demand Draft: In favor of "PLENARY HOLIDAYS” payable at Delhi
    • At Par Cheque: Issue in the name of "PLENARY HOLIDAYS".

Sightseeing details:-

Darjeeling:-

  • 03 points include Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop (3 hrs trip start at 04.00 a.m. to 7.00a.m)
  • 07 points include Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre, Tea Estate (outer view), Ava art Gallery and Japanese temple, Peace Pagoda (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs or 14.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs )

Optional sightseeing:-

  • Mirik Lake, Nepal Border & Pasupati Market (Nepal)
  • Rock Garden (04 hrs approx) (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs or 14.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs)
  • Joy ride in toy train cost Rs 350 per ticket & Rs 600 for vehicle (hotel –station –Hotel transfer)

Gangtok:-

  • Half Day 7 points include Rumtek Monastery, Cable car (ticket cost extra), Botanical garden, Dro-dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Centre.
  • Full Day 10 points include Tashi view point, Ganesh Tak & Hanuman Tak, Rumtek Monastery, Banzakhri Falls, Botanical garden, Dro-dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Centre.
  • Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Full day trip from 9.00a.m. to 3.oo p.m.)

  • 2nd Half tour - Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Halipad Ground. (4 hrs from 13.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs)

  • 2nd Half tour - Changey Waterfalls, Dentam Valley, Singshore Bridge.

Kalimpong:-

  • 10 points tour: Mangal Dham, Hanuman Top, Deolo Hill, Pine View Nursery, Dr. Grahams Home, Nature interpretation center, Golf course, Denzong parli Buddhist monastery, Mangal Dham, Kali Temple and Zelepla View point.

Optional sightseeing:-

  • Lava & Lolegaon (7 hrs approx, start from 8.00 hrs to 1600 hrs).

  • Half Day East Side Sight seeing points - Delo viewpoint and Garden, Sing Bahini Durga Mandir, Hanuman view point, Dr Gram’s Homes School & Mangal Dham Temple.
  • Half Day West Side Kalimpong local sight seeing - Forest interpretation center, Golf course, Denzong parli Buddhist Monastery, Durbin Jalepla view point(Durbin Dhara Hill), Pineview cactus Nursery, Kali Mandir.

Lachung:-

Optional River Rafting:-

River Rafting Can be arranged while traveling from Darjeeling to Kalimpong / Gangtok, Kalimpong – Gangtok, Gangtok – NJP / IXB.

Cost: Rs.450 per pax on sharing + vehicle detention charge of Rs.600 for. (Nett & non-commissionable)

Cost: With river side lunch Rs. 650 per pax + vehicle detention charge of Rs.600 for a minimum of 8 paying pax is required. (Nett & non-commissionable)

The put-in point for rafting on river Teesta starts from Melli and ends at 29th mile approx 10 kms.

The entire activity takes around 3 hours.

We provide: Head gears, paddles, life jacket, professional rafting guide, proper bathroom with towels for shower.
